MOTT1 Exterior

Thanks to our friends Al Brown and Rigo from Brown Construction the exterior on the MOTT1 is finished! It's amazing how much we've learned on this first split of a 20 ft container... You never know until you can jump right in! #ZakBrownBand...
If you are going to purchase a container and design a mobile office, make sure you buy a container that has no dents, and great floors to begin with. That will save you time and money on the basics. We had to frame these first 2 out because the 20 footer had some major dents. It is water tight, but was beat up from the feet up. In the future we will most likely only buy not dented, that way you can drill in the siding straight through the original container steel walls.
On the MOTT1 we had to shim the floors so that they were flat for the new floors. We put down recycled Douglas Fir siding from a major rehab project we have going on in Los Posas Country Club Estates. We sanded the sides that were on the back side of the exterior walls and put the vinegar steel wool and water solution to stain them. They came out awesome looking, we think so...
All we are waiting on now is the door handles for the Clad French Doors, interior/exterior lights and possibly one more window to get some great air flow. We hope to have this one on the car lot near Thompson & Seaward in the next 7 days. Hopefully we will be done with the MOTT Mini by then as well. Here are a few pics of where we are at, stay tuned! More MOTT Boxes coming soon
